One of the top schools in the West Tokyo district for high school baseball. Many alumni players from Fujimi Senior League joined this school.

Players

Kirishima Shuuto (桐島 秋斗)

He has a haughty demeanor and is a baseball exchange student from Osaka and speaks in Kansai dialect. He enjoys teasing younger students who have no sense of comedy. His current target of teasing is Hironobu Makita, but he also accepts Makita’s bossy attitude toward him, despite being his senior, and the two are on not bad terms. Unfazed by pressure, his pitching style includes many changeable pitches, but his fastball is first-rate, and he is the absolute ace of Hikawa High School.

He was in the same boys’ league as his younger brother, Kirishima Natsuhiko.

Kurita (栗田)

He’s an alumni member from Fujimi Senior League, together with Makita and Chihaya. During his second-year, he became a regular member of the team, playing second baseman.

Originally, he was unnamed when he first appeared in the manga. However, in the anime episode 11, he was given the name Kurita. He makes a reappearance in Chapter 161 and finally addressed by name.

Kyuujou (九条)

Third-year player.

Maihara Shoutarou (舞原 正太郎)

A bright and sunny first-year catcher. He came to Higawa High School because he wanted to catch for Kirishima. Kirishima mentions that he is easy to pitch to as his catching produces a good sound. Despite his short height, he is a power hitter capable of hitting homeruns.

Makita Hironobu (巻田 広伸)

A stereotypical power pitcher who likes pitching battles. An alumni of Fujimi Senior League, together with Chihaya and several others. He is direct and straightforward in both baseball and human relations, and has an open and honest personality. However, unconsciously, he wants to show off his superiority, and his insensitive remarks sometimes make others upset or hurt. On the other hand, he is too simple-minded to take others’ comments at their word, and is easily teased or deceived.

Because of his direct personality, he dislikes Chihaya’s play style though he sees him as his rival. Kirishima always makes fun of him, calling him a “gorilla”. Despite the odd relationship, they remain on good terms with each other.

Numata (沼田)

Third-year player.

Terakado (寺門)

Third-year player. He seems to be on very friendly terms with Kirishima, whom he calls “Kiri-chan”, and Makita, as “Maki-chan”.

Ube Tomoya (宇部 智矢)

A very tall first-year player who gets along with Maihara very well. He is an otaku. He enjoys wrapping tape around himself, thinking that it is “cool”. It is revealed that he is trying to mimic Ayanami Rei from Evangelion.
