Teitoku High School (帝徳高等高校)

A prestigious school in West Tokyo famous for being the top baseball school in the perfecture.

Head Coach: Iwasaki Tsutomu (岩崎 勤)

Head coach of the baseball club. He originally wanted to make a dream team called the “Tsuyo tsuyo 1st years” made up of Kiyomine, Kaname, Toudou, Chihaya and Kokuto. Unfortunately, only Kokuto came to Teitoku.

He considers himself the “air” coach (ie. physically not there) of Kotesashi, whom he affectionally calls “Kotekko” and secretly watches out for them – such as extending an invitation to watch the Teitoku vs Hikawa practice match and sending his school’s old weights to them (via the Base Boy store). As such, he is highly critical and disapproves of Kotesashi’s coach, Sako Yuusuke.

Scout: Itou Kaneyoshi (伊藤 金義)

One of Teitoku’s scouts. He met with Toudou to invite him to come to Teitoku.

Players

Hidaka Shouta (飛高 翔太)

He is a power pitcher who can throw fastballs in the 150s. He is already a candidate for the professional baseball draft, but despite his cheerful face, he has an extremely low self-esteem because of his self-deprecating personality. He has such a low self-esteem that even the coach was frustrated by his personality. His personality is such that he starts off poorly, but after thinking too much, he starts to improve in the middle innings where he shows his true pitching abilities. Around the 8th inning, his brain short-circuits and he stops thinking and that is when his best pitching appears.

Hinomoto Ataru (陽ノ本 当)

He is the mood-maker in the baseball team, and the team’s atmosphere becomes brighter when he is around which is why the club members love him so much. He is also good natured and all the current second-year regulars were his former rivals from other schools who joined Teitoku so that they could aim for Koshien together with him. He is also the type of person who does not care about details and gets along well even with Hidaka. He is not only a talented pitcher, but also an excellent batter. He has many fans because of the way he enjoys playing baseball. He has no likes or dislikes about food, and as a result of eating and sleeping well, he has a great physique.

He is the older brother of Hinomoto Teruya from Kotesashi. They used to be on the same little league together.

Kokuto Eiichirou (国都 英一郎)

Despite being a first year, he is the Teitoku’s cleanup. His dream was to go to Koshien together with Kiyomine and Kaname after being so impressed by their abilities during his time in senior league. For that reason, he worked hard and eventually, like Kiyomine and Kaname, received a Special S recommendation to Teitoku. Unaware of Kaname’s amnesia, he requested for a practice game with Kotesashi but was disappointed and furious at Kaname’s disregard for baseball. However, after the fourth match with Kotesashi in the summer of their first year, he apologizes to Kaname and vows to fight Kiyomine in the next year.

He is serious, has a strong sense of responsibility, and always keeps his promises. Because of this personality, he is respected not only by the club members but also by his seniors. On the other hand, he also has a highly idealistic and fastidious side that makes him difficult to joke around with.

Kozato Shinobu (小里 偲歩)

Teitoku’s fastest runner. He is quick-tempered.

Kuga Toshiyuki (久我 歳行)

He joined Teitoku because Hinomoto invited him to join him. He considers himself a much less talented player than the rest of the Teitoku regulars but has worked very hard to be on the team.

Masumura Shigemitsu (益村 重光)

He became the main catcher in his second year when his senior, who was the main catcher for the team, became injured.

Noridomi Daizen (乗冨 大善)

First-year student. Originally from Saga perfecture and member of Kanzaki Boys League. He speaks in the Hakata dialect. A confident player who self-describes as a super rookie. Before attending Teitoku, he sent a video recording to Teitoku’s coaches telling them that he was the only one who can catch Hinomoto’s pitch and was eventually scouted.

His ability as a catcher is high and currently the only one who can reliably catch Hinomoto’s forkball.

Sengoku Kyouji (千石 今日路)

His lower-classmen likes to call out his name repeatedly. He has a calm personality but can be viciously mean to Hidaka verbally.

Takagi (髙木)

The pitcher in the first practice game between Kotesashi and Teitoku. Originally from Fukuoka.
