Minor Characters

Andou (安藤)

Owner of Base Boy, a sporting goods store. Coach Iwasaki is an old acquaintance of his. He also seems to be a knowlegeable baseball fan as he was aware of the Kiyomine-Kaname battery, Toudou and Chihaya from their senior league days.

He takes on a mentor role and provides advice to Yamada who bought his first-baseman mitt from his store.

Kaname’s Mom

She works part-time and is sometimes not home when Kaname returns from school. She is cheerful, sociable, and caring, and is not concerned with the details. Despite his son having amnesia, she does not seem to be overly concerned with it - possibly because he acts as silly as he used to be in his childhood.

She was a cheerleader in high school.

Kei calls her “ババア” (loosely translated, “old hag”). Despite this, she does not seem to be annoyed at that.

Kiyomine Haruma (清峰 葉流馬)

Kiyomine Haruka’s older brother. He is an office worker who is very shy when meeting new people and hence wears a horse head mask. Even during baseball matches, he wears a face mask and sunglasses so his actual face has never been revealed.

Although he is very polite and courteous with others, he spares no mercy with Kiyomine and has treated Kiyomine like a slave since childhood. As a result, Kiyomine greatly fears his brother because of his strict treatment of him. His hobby is watching and collecting adult videos, with a collection of over 7,000 videos. He is also an expert on baseball, and as a result of his knowledge of both baseball and adult videos, he is able to instantly identify a player’s adult video taste based on his play style.

Kiyomine Haruka’s mother.

Sako Junji (佐古 純次)

A freelance writer who covers the high school baseball scene, and knows Youmei’s coach personally. He is Reiko’s father, and uncle to Coach Sako.

Toudou’s Older Sister

She walks around in the house in her lingerie and has no qualms about it. When Toudou quit playing baseball, she chose to respect his decision and not question his actions.

Toudou addresses her as “姉貴” (aneki).

Toudou’s Younger Sister

She’s shy around strangers and really enjoys watching Toudou play baseball. She addresses Toudou as “葵にーに” (Aoi-ni-ni) and her older sister is “ねーね” (ne-ne).
